In high school I used my dads film camera to photograph my friends skateboarding, I loved it! But I always wanted to skate more than take photos. Instead of shooting my friends jumping off of stairs, I always had my camera on me for the in between moments. I would photograph my friends, mostly getting into trouble or messing around.

Photos that hold weight.
There are photos that I have on my wall right now that have traveled across America with me. Together we’ve moved into couples apartments, hung on various wall, & carried up and down many flights of stairs. But why? These are things I think about often as a photographer.
Why does this photo mean more to me than the thousands on my phone?
I want to capture the pure intimacy, real laughter and the true love that fills their amazing day!
